Aquatherm’s Blue Pipe Standard Dimension Ratio 17.6 faser-composite is now available from 4” to 24”. The 4” size is used for chilled water, geothermal and condenser water mains, while larger sizes can be used in industrial applications. It is a corrosion-resistant alternative to steel and copper pipe that delivers roughly 20% higher flow volume and is 35% lighter than the SDR 11. Faser-composite allows the pipe to remain rigid at high temperatures and limits expansion/contraction. Heat fusion bonds pipe and fitting, eliminating systematic weaknesses and fail-points.
