Morrison Supply acquires Express Pipe & Supply
Acquisition will provide Morrison attractive platform for growth in California market.
Morrison Supply Co. - ranked 13th in the 2012 Supply House Times’ Premier 125 rankings released last May - announced it has acquired Santa Monica, Calif.-based Express Pipe & Supply. This is Morrison Supply’s first acquisition of a company in the Southern California market which the company says is rebounding in the residential and commercial construction market.
Express Pipe & Supply is the third-largest plumbing supply company in Southern California and has 12 branches and targets residential plumbing sales. Express will continue to operate under its existing name.
“The large Southern California market is an important strategic opportunity for Morrison, and Express Pipe & Supply is a clear leader in the area for all-around product offering and customer service,” Morrison CEO Chip Hornsby said. “We look forward to working with the Express team to continue providing exceptional service to its loyal customer base and to offer Morrison a strong foundation for additional growth in the region.”
Recently Morrison also completed the acquisition of Rogers Supply in Enid, Okla. and Dixie Utility Supply in Texarkana, Texas.
