Aalberts
Industries has reached agreement with parent company
Tomkins Industries to acquire 100 percent of the shares of Lasco
Fittings.
Lasco, with about $104 million in sales,
produces plastic fittings for plumbing and a variety of other markets out of a
single plant in Brownsville, Tenn. Aalberts also owns U.S. copper fittings producer
Elkhart Products Corp., which it bought in 2004. The two companies will operate
as autonomous units.
