Several charities will receive heating and cooling expertise in community service inititiative.

Service Experts, a North American heating and cooling company, will lend its expertise to several charities through an initiative known as the Service Experts SWAT team. Across the nation, several Service Experts SWAT teams will check that heating and cooling systems are being properly maintained and that residents' comfort and safety is ensured in high-risk environments.

Each Service Experts SWAT Team mission is different. For example, in Colorado, technicians have partnered with Colorado Energy Assistance Foundation to inspect and service elderly, low-income residents' heating systems, particularly seeking out harmful or deadly hazards like fumes and carbon monoxide leaks. The team will cover about 50 homes. Chicago's Service Expert's SWAT Team has united with Catholic Charities to provide inspection and repairs on heating and cooling equipment in an old townhouse. The residence is being refurbished for a low-income family to inhabit.
