Sessions designed to unearth strategies that fuel technology advances.

The Plumbing Manufacturers Institute has invited attendees to explore e-commerce's impact on the plumbing industry at PMI's second Information Technology Forum. The sessions will meet Dec. 11 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Dec. 12 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Several presentations focusing on marketplace exchanges, construction industry retail and software incorporation are expected to guide industry professionals beyond e-commerce's surface issues to an understanding of the strategies fueling technology.

Later that day, Randy Altmann, Internet plumbing merchant for Home Depot, will detail the company's Internet tactics. The next morning, Sally Schehr, BuildNet Inc.'s executive director of the business manufacturing sector, will explain improvements possible for the supply chain via e-business opportunities.
