: The backflange of the Prier C-144 Freezeless Hydrant is now wider, eliminating the problem of screws splitting the siding on installation. The screwholes are now enclosed on the flange, making installation easier. The new Prier C-144 has the proper drainage pitch built in to the solid casted backflange, assuring easier installation for the plumber and proper drainage of the hydrant after shutoff.
