The Vermont Department of Labor and Industry has adopted the 1997 editions of the National Fire Protection Agency's Fire Prevention CodeR, and NFPA 909, the Standard for the Protection of Cultural Resources. The adoption of NFPA 909 marks the second statewide adoption of this standard, which protects historic buildings.
