Daikin Comfort Technologies North America introduced the new Daikin VRV EMERION commercial heat pump and heat recovery systems featuring low-GWP R-32 refrigerant. Available from 6- to 40-tons, the systems are designed to improve efficiency, simplify installation and support sustainability compared to previous R-410A VRV EMERION systems. The new lineup delivers efficiencies up to 24.6 IEER and 3.80 COP while supporting heating operation in temperatures as low as -22°F. Daikin says the systems can also reduce installation and commissioning time through faster D4 communications, auto addressing and the ability to reuse existing R-410A piping in retrofit applications.

The systems integrate with Daikin HERO Cloud Services and the HERO Ecosystem for remote monitoring, diagnostics and field-setting adjustments. Additional features include expanded vertical separation capabilities, quieter operation down to 58 dB(A), and easier service access through a drop-down electrical box service window and removable sections. Daikin says the new VRV EMERION systems are designed to help contractors reduce labor, improve flexibility and deliver energy-efficient comfort in commercial applications.
