Crystal Lake, Ill.-based Knaack LLC is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a yearlong roster of events involving end users, distributors and the local community.

Knaack kicked off its celebration recently with a special press day and an employee celebration.

Founded in 1960 to supply jobsite boxes to a construction supply house, Knaack began in a modest 2,000 square-foot facility in Crystal Lake (northwest of Chicago). It has since expanded its headquarters location to more than 400,000 square feet (285 employees).

”It means longevity,” Knaack Senior Marketing Operations Manager Jim Scarlata told PM at the company’s press day. “Fifty years is a milestone. It’s a big achievement. We’ve had tremendous growth. We owe everything to our customers for our success.”

As part of the celebration, the company unveiled its new Limited Edition Knaack Model 50 Jobsite Storage Chest-a special-edition anniversary jobsite chest that includes a new locking system and a new size with lower height for easier access.

Additionally, Knaack is introducing a “Nifty Fifty Jobsite Storage Giveaway”-an online sweepstakes and product giveaway. The sweepstakes is for qualified end users who register online at www.knaack.com Every 50 days Knaack will randomly select a winner who will receive a Knaack Limited Edition Anniversary Model 50 Jobsite Storage Chest. The anniversary chest will be available to the public from June 1 through Dec. 31.

Knaack will also donate five Limited Edition Knaack Model 50 Jobsite Storage Chests to the Crystal Lake Park District for use on municipal ball fields.

Knaack also manufactures and markets a complete line of WEATHER GUARD truck and van equipment, including drawer units, shelving and cabinets and racks for full-size and compact pickups, vans and utility vehicles.
