Robert Georgine, has announced he will be retiring from his position as president of the AFL-CIO's Building and Construction Trades Dept.
The construction industry's highest-ranking labor leader, Robert Georgine, 67, has announced he will be retiring from his position as president of the AFL-CIO's Building and Construction Trades Dept., effective April 15. His term of office expires in July.
Named as interim BCTD president was Edward Sullivan, general president of the International Union of Elevator Constructors.
