Carolinas’
utility Progress Energy is now accepting applications for its new SunSense
Solar Water Heating research study, which will test the energy-saving potential
of solar water heating systems in the two states.

of all single-family homes built nationally in 2008 earned the Energy Star
label, up from 12 percent in 2007.

the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe
Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada announced their partnership,
which will combine the UA’s training programs with GreenPlumbers’
marketing and accreditation network.
International Accreditation Service has been
designated as an approved accreditation body by the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency for its WaterSense Program.
