The Construction Contractors' Alliance discussed predictive indexes and their effect on hiring employees at its biannual meeting in Baltimore in mid-August.

CCA grew its organization to 22 firms in its fourth meeting, according to Leanne Snyder, the organization's director.

The conference, attended by almost 50 people, also had sessions on employee retention and motivation, "How To Be A Great Employer" by Ben Simmons of TDIndustries and a closure session on how to implement the information by Dr. Reesa Woolf.

Predictive indexes were discussed in detail by David Krecek, vice president Predictive Index, Midwest. Predictive indexes help companies develop behavioral job descriptions and find people whose talents best fit the position.

CCA, a PHCC-NA-enhanced service group geared toward contractors in new construction, will hold its next meeting at the Bellagio in Las Vegas March 1-3. For more information, call 877/222-7711.
