The Quality Service Contractors unveiled a new marketing manual at its Power Meeting XX in Scottsdale, Ariz., March 4-6. The marketing program, titled “Marketing for the Quality Service Contractor,” includes more than 200 pages of marketing/advertising information, and three active spreadsheets to help contractors develop a marketing plan, budget and track all marketing efforts.

Highlights of the meeting included a session on professional networking conducted by Brad Hirni; tips on selling to women and couples by consultant Sharon Roberts; and a rousing discussion of the FISH philosophy at Seattle's Pike Place Fish Market by Mick Lunzer.

Tom Maniuszko, CEO of Day-Night Plumbing & Heating Co. (Richmond, N.Y.), was elected the group's new chairperson. He replaces Rebecca Gold. Patty Frank of Milton Frank Plumbing Co. (Spring, Texas) was elected vice chair. Two new trustees also were elected: David Singleton of David R. Singleton Inc. (Manchester, Mass); and Bryan Stansell of Stamar Inc. (Atlanta).
