Sioux Chief sponsors safe drinking water programs in Sudan
The company believes in the value of World Plumbing Day.
Earlier this week in honor of World Plumbing Day, March 11th, Sioux Chief sponsored several programs, including borehole drilling, repair and hygiene training for those in need in Sudan. The company believes in the value of World Plumbing Day, an annual international event initiated by the World Plumbing Council, to celebrate the important role plumbing plays in the health and safety of modern society.
Since 2006, the nonprofit organization, Persecution Project Foundation, PPF, has operated a Safe Water campaign which has drilled 80 wells for refugees and internally displaced persons in Sudan. Additionally, PPF's Safe Water Program funds water purification systems, solar-powered pumps, health and sanitation training and emergency borehole repairs.
