George Zebrowski (left), publisher ofPlumbing & Mechanicalchats with Jim Galvin, vice president of sales and marketing for Symmons Industries, at the International Builders Show in Orlando in January. Galvin, a 36-year veteran at Symmons, announced his retirement at the show. He belonged to several associations in the plumbing engineering and manufacturing industries, including ASPE, ASSE and IAPMO. Galvin started out in Symmons' shipping room in 1969 and worked in customer service and outside sales before becoming district manager in 1980. He opened a district office in California as regional sales manager before moving back to Massachusetts to become director of marketing in 1989. He became vice president in 1995.
