Bernard J. Vondersmith, 61, executive vice president of the MCA of Maryland Inc. (Towson, Md.), passed away Aug. 12. He was a co-founder and a past executive director of Contractors and Unions Together (COUNT) and was a trustee of several funds for Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 486 (Baltimore, Md.) and Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 782 (Seaford, Del.). He also served two terms on the board of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP).

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo, three daughters, his mother, two siblings, and six grandchildren.
