These industry professionals are making headlines.

  • National Kitchen & Bath Association Chief Executive Officer, Larry Spangler, recently announced his resignation. During the past two years as CEO, he was vital in the implementation of the association's strategic goals and objectives to industry-wide leadership and education. No replacement was announced as PM went to print.

  • Toronto-based Crane Supply named Tom Frazer as president. He has been with the company since 1982 and most recently served as vice president and general manager.

  • Alsons Corp. promoted Kevin Buckner to executive vice president. His previous position at Alsons was vice president of marketing. The company also promoted Leann King to vice president of human resources/administration from director of human resources.

  • Electric radiant manufacturer Warmly Yours appointed Jonathan Willner as its chief technology officer. Willner is credited with introducing floor warming to the U.S. market, the company says, and holds several technology patents. He is a member of the UL Technical Advisory Board and a delegate to the IEC.

  • Armstrong Pumps appointed Robert Adamsz as marketing engineer within the Hydronics Division. Prior to joining Armstrong, he worked for various companies including Magna International as project coordinator and MMM - Marshall Macklin Monaghan as project engineer. Armstrong also appointed David McNamee as value stream manager-heat exchangers, expansion tanks and vortex.

    The company also named David McNamee as value stream manager - heat exchangers, expansion tanks and Vortex. He comes to Armstrong after serving as senior manufacturer engineer/quality manager at Partnertech (Atlanta). Also, Armstrong hired Craig Toth as purchasing manager. He worked in various procurement positions with Ferro Corp., BOC Edwards and Occidental Chemical. The company appointed Jason Anascavage as district sales manager - commercial design/build, New York City (and surrounding area). He most recently worked at Honeywell as sales manager, new construction. And Richard Li was appointed technical sales representative for the Far East. He has 15 years of HVAC experience in China.

  • Uponor Wirsbo named Wade Peterson its new vice president of sales and marketing. Peterson had been serving as an Uponor North America vice president and president of the Uponor Canada legal unit. Jay Gullickson, previously Uponor Canada's executive coordinator, has been named that unit's office manager.

  • Spirax Sarco named Roger Barnes vice president of marketing and technology. He had been serving as director-technology, product development for Flowserve's Flow Control unit. The company also promoted former national sales manager Patrick Tillisch to vice president of sales, and former national accounts manager Richard Gavlin to the new position of vice president of energy services.

  • BrassCraft promoted former senior cost accountant Paul Graves to controller at its Lancaster, Texas, facility.

  • Lochinvar Corp. announced the hiring of Michael Stewart as transportation manager. He previously worked in third-party logistics for the U.S. military.

  • T & S Brass and Bronze Works promoted former product marketing manager Ken Gallegher to director of sales. Also, Linda Seigler was promoted to national sales manager, and Bill Stella was hired as international sales manager.

  • Viega North America named Tom Shields manager of the company's northeast region. He has been with Viega since 2002, and has held positions as technical consultant and district manager.

  • Viessmann Mfg. Co. announced that Rich Gruber joined the company in the newly created position of national sales manager. Gruber has 30 years of sales experience and held recent national sales management positions with Leonard Valve and Honeywell-Sparco-Braukmann. He will be based at Viessmann's U.S. home office in Warwick, R.I.

  • HeatLink USA named Doug McElwain as eastern U.S. regional manager. McElwain has over 25 years of heating industry experience as a contractor, wholesaler and, most recently, eastern regional manager for RTI Pex Piping Systems.

  • In-Sink-Erator hired Rebecca Falish as Midwest regional sales manager. She succeeds Tom Boehnlein, who retired after 10 years with the company. Previously, Falish spent five years with Bemis Manufacturing, and before that was employed by Burton-Anderson, a manufacturers representative of plumbing products in Wisconsin.

  • Zurn-Wilkins hired Kurt Hartle as a sales manager. He will be based in Nashville and focus on developing sales and specifications in the Southeast and Southwest.

  • Basco appointed John Mitchell regional sales manager. Mitchell worked for Wilson Sporting Goods for 20 years, most recently as territory manager.

  • R.W. Beckett Corp. appointed Bob Bruno as sales engineer. His territory will include New Jersey, New York south of the Hudson River, Philadelphia/Eastern Pennsylvania and Staten Island. Bruno was the owner of Bruno Oil Co. in Hammonton, N.J, from 1986 until last December. Also, John Manning was named sales engineer for a territory that includes Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, New Hampshire (excluding the seacoast) and Vermont. Previously, Manning was a branch manager with Petroleum Heat and Power.

  • Hacker Industries supplier of gypsum concrete floor underlayments and sound mat products used in radiant heating installations, announced that Ken Fitzpatrick joined the company as sales and architectural coordinator.

  • Lasco Bathware appointed David McFarland as director of marketing. McFarland comes from the toy industry. He previously was vice president of marketing for Playhut Inc., where he focused on the consumer market through retail distribution. He also served with Micro Inc. and Mattel.

  • System Sensor named David George as leader of corporate communications. He had been a publisher of magazine titles covering the electrical, security and education industries.

  • Plastic Trends Inc. appointed Kristy Piper to the position of marketing coordinator. She joined PTI in 2003 as a marketing assistant.

  • Bradford White recently announced the retirement of Joseph E. Boscoe employed with the company since 1972. During his 33 years he held various positions in marketing, sales, customer service/warranty and administration. Herbert F. Foster has been appointed to replace Boscoe as vice president of administration.

  • Rheem Water Heaters named James A. Cika as specialty water heating manager, identifying business opportunities for the company's tankless and solar water heating lines. Prior to joining Rheem, Cika spent five years as engineering services manager at Rinnai America Corp.

  • Fluidmaster Inc. announced that Sandra States has joined the company as product marketing manager. States will serve as a key member of a Business Unit Management Team and support the development and management of Fluidmaster's Flush product line.

  • Watts Water Technologies Inc. has appointed Jackie McCormick to the position of associate marketing manager for Watts Regulator.
