Uponor Wirsbo plans to add 43,500 square feet of office and manufacturing capacity to its existing Apple Valley, Minn., headquarters. Groundbreaking began in August, and construction will continue until mid-2006. The new office space will accommodate 120 occupants while the new manufacturing bay will hold several new extruder lines.
A ceremony to mark the fifth expansion in the past decade was held on Sept. 7, 2005. Representatives from the City of Apple Valley, the local Chamber of Commerce, PCL Construction, Professional Design Group and Uponor attended. Speakers included Jim Bjork, executive vice president, Uponor North America, Jan Lang, CEO and president, Uponor Group, and Mary Hamann-Roland, mayor of Apple Valley.
