Faucets announced that its management systems recently earned a three-year
certificate for ISO 9001:2008/ISO 14001:2004 certification of its U.S.
headquarters in Des Plaines, IL, and three manufacturing sites.
ISO 9001 is a voluntary
Quality Management System that covers design/development, production,
installation and servicing. ISO 14001 is a voluntary Environmental Management
System that requires constant commitment to environmental planning and
improvement.
“Through the audit, we were
recognized for many improvements, which were made during the past 12 months,”
said
John Joyce, director of business excellence for Chicago
Faucets. “Some areas were identified as ‘best in class’ for our company,
something we are very proud of achieving.”
According to
John
Fitzgerald, director of marketing for Chicago Faucets, the company’s
commitment to sustainability and social responsibility is demonstrated in the
hard work behind developing and implementing systems to reduce emissions
affecting climate change.
