Basset Mechanical (Kaukauna, Wis.) hired Mark Grassman as general manager of its fabrication department. Before joining Bassett, he held various engineering and project management positions. Mike Lozier joined Contractors Mechanical (Richland, Mich.) as vice president of business development. He has a Master's License and more than 30 years of industry experience. Nexstar appointed Jack Tester as business coach for the group's member companies. Tester was a founding executive director of Nexstar (then Contractors 2000) from 1992 to 1998. Most recently he was vice president of the American Residential Services segment of ServiceMaster. Michelle Dupray joined the National Environmental Balancing Bureau as its new marketing and communications coordinator. Previously, she worked for a Tucson ad agency.
Kinetic Systems announced that Michael R. D'Appolonia was appointed president and chief executive officer. He was appointed after the resignation of Gordie Beittenmiller, who resigned for personal in family reasons.
Robert L. Koester was promoted to chief financial officer at St. Louis-based Murphy Co. He joined the company in 2003 as controller and treasurer. Koester previously worked as a senior manager at Deloitte and Touche.
