Since its launch Nov. 1, Buzzsaw.com has experienced rapid growth, averaging 300 new building and design
projects a week to its Web-based collaboration workspace. It currently holds approximately 5,500 active projects, and
will continue to expand with the completion of its second round of financing totaling $75 million. Buzzsaw.com has
also joined with the Ariba Inc. e-commerce platform to build a global business-to-business construction marketplace.
Buzzsaw.com Joins Forces With ec-Content
As we went to press, Buzzsaw.com also announced it has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with
ec-Content, a leading provider of comprehensive digital catalog content for digital marketplaces. The Buzzsaw.com
marketplace, an online trading exchange for suppliers, specifiers and buyers in the construction industry, will be
connected to electrical, mechanical and plumbing catalogs from ec-Contents Building Essentials Library, representing
more than 1,300 manufacturers. Additionally, Buzzsaw.com has formed alliances with other companies, yet to be
announced, that are affiliated partners with Trade Service Corp. and offer access to an integrated online network of
building product suppliers.
