Tub and shower enclosure manufacturer Basco broke ground on its headquarters expansion April 29. The current 65,000-sq.-ft. Mason, Ohio-based facility will get a 50,000-sq.-ft. addition. The new space will increase the production and customer service call center areas, said company President George W. Rohde, as well as add a new state-of-the-art training center for the company's Basco University. The new building is expected to be completed by fall 2004, in time for Basco's 50th anniversary celebration.
