The society agreed to endorse the Uniform Plumbing Code and the new code change process.

The American Society of Sanitary Engineering agreed to endorse the Uniform Plumbing Code and the new code change process of the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, which has been working for many years on the development of consensus standards for plumbing materials.
