Contractor
David Zinn of Hydrowest Ltd. in Vancouver, British Columbia, won a 2010 Harley
Davidson motorcycle for his entry in Webstone’s “Smart Work Deserves a Smart
Ride Pro-Pal” installation contest. His entry featured 62 control panels
constructed with Webstone valves and fittings for use in a unique district heat
pump system that recovers heat from sewage treatment.
Zinn installed the system at the Whistler Athletes Village built for the 2010
Winter Olympics. His project represents a green approach to providing energy in
a manner that is eco-friendly. Zinn’s work was chosen for his superior
demonstration of innovation and how Webstone’s Pro-Pal Step-Saving valves can
improve the overall efficiency and operation of any system.
Saying that “he loves the Webstone product,” Zinn noted that it saves him time,
money and his installations never looked so good. In addition to Zinn’s grand
prize, a portion of the proceeds from the sales of Pro-Pal valves purchased
during the contest period will be donated to breast cancer research. Thanks to
the contractors who submitted many creative installations, and the wholesale
distributors who purchased Pro-Pal valves, Webstone will make a sizable
contribution to the American Cancer Society.
