The world's first large-scale, all-PEX piping network will soon replace the 120-km (75-mile) piping infrastructure of Bucharest, Romania. Pre-insulated Ecoflex PEX and HDPE pipe in sizes up to 160 mm will be used to transport potable water to the 2.4 million citizens of the Romanian capital city, an Eastern European hub for commerce and air travel. The project is expected to be complete within two years.
