“Safeguarding Our Resources” is the foundation for the Fall 2007 Plumbing Manufacturers Institute (PMI) meeting scheduled for Oct. 7-10 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Washington, D.C.

Whether in reference to natural resources like water or man-made resources (Web sites, Internet security and intellectual property), it is essential that industry manufacturers work to protect what is important to them.

Following the PMI Board of Directors meeting and the general membership meeting, the PMI Fall Conference will feature a variety of sessions and a series of speakers on recycling, enforcement of labeling regulations, and the efficient use of water.

Luncheon keynote speaker is Dan Esty, who is the author of eight books, including “Green To Gold:  How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value and Build Competitive Advantage,” which explains what every executive must know to manage and profit from the environmental challenges facing society and the business world.

The conference’s grand finale is devoted to the expanding role of nanotechnology throughout the industry.

Registration deadline is Sept. 12. Call PMI for meeting details at 847/481-5500, or visit www.pmihome.org. Call the Hyatt Regency Crystal City direct for hotel room reservations at 703/481-1234. Ask for the PMI Room Rate of $175.
