Put A Smile On Your Face

In these rough times, we could all use something to smile at, and the A. Bailey Plumbing & Heating trucks offer that a-plenty with their bright yellow smiley-face wrapping.

The company’s logo was redesigned in 2004, family owner Christopher Bailey tells PM, to include the smiley and a new tagline: “Same Day Service With a Smile.”

The logo and the company’s colors — yellow, red and blue — are used on everything from the technicians’ uniforms to yard signs to thank-you cards, invoice statements and more.

“It’s a marketing director’s dream come true because it is such a strong branding icon,” says Kristin Tripoli, A. Bailey’s marketing director. “The yellow smiley face is the universal symbol of happiness; it conveys positivity without any words needed.”

According to Bailey, everyone in the company operates by the tagline’s philosophy. They not only want to be known as the happy, friendly plumbers, but also the ones who put smiles on their customers’ faces as well.

How do they do it? Well, the trucks help a lot. A. Bailey currently runs 13 smiley trucks in the central New Jersey area with more to be wrapped soon. The company also offers fast response times, free estimates seven days a week, and is motivated to provide friendly, helpful service that puts customers at ease.

“In today’s economy, we are more committed to this than ever,” Tripoli says. “We even decided this would be the perfect time to give away a free water heater, which we are doing, to spread some cheer in a time when many are facing financial uncertainties.”

Offering these conveniences and savings — and a little visual diversion on the road — makes for many happy customers, and A. Bailey Plumbing and Heating won’t have it any other way.
