Lochinvar Announces Grand Prize Winner of VIP Contractor Showcase - Vendor and Supplier News

Lochinvar Corp. announced that Josh and Nathan Lodder of Lodder Brothers Limited in Guelph, ON, have been named the grand prize winner in the 2009-2010 VIP Contractor Showcase. In addition, five other VIP Contractors were recognized as this year’s monthly winners for their impressive entries and accomplishments.

The annual VIP Contractor Showcase, which runs from November through April, offers enrolled contractors the opportunity to compete on a monthly basis to showcase their recent installations of the KNIGHT Heating Boiler at www.knightheatingboiler.com.

The entries are reviewed by a panel of Lochinvar judges and one contractor each month is awarded a $250 gift card to Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop, or a gas card of the same value.

Originally named the January winner of this heating season’s showcase, the Lodders were awarded the grand prize for their installation of two wall-mount KNIGHT Heating Boilers at Ontario’s newly constructed Mount Forest Day Care. The highly efficient system features a 210,000 Btu/hr wall-mount KNIGHT boiler (WBN210) that services one half of the building, its radiant floor heat, a glycol loop heat coil and an 80-gallon Lochinvar indirect water heater. Meanwhile, an 80,000 Btu/hr wall-mount KNIGHT (WBN080) services the other half of the building, its radiant floor heat, a unit heater and a 40-gallon indirect water heater. Callidus Engineering specified the energy-efficient Lochinvar equipment for the project, and Devlan Construction served as the contractor on the job.

As the grand prize winner, Given the choice between a or a floor-standing KNIGHT KBN080, the Lodders will receive a free wall-mount KNIGHT WBN080 boiler as their award.
