“Superheroes of Service,” this year’s NAOHSM Annual Convention and Trade Show hosted four unique charity events from May 23-27, 2010.

1. Oil Heat Cares partnered with Honeywell and the local rep agency, EDOS, to clean up and rehab the YMCA Sheppard Reservation Day Camp in Smithfield, RI. You can check the video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NAOHSM1.

2. Golfers participated in the Annual Dave Nelsen Golf Tournament at Triggs Memorial Golf Course. Rhode Island Chapter's George Fantacone led the event, which raised more than $10,000 for the Dave Nelsen Scholarship.

3. While the golfers were doing their part, other Convention participants were walking, biking, and motorcycling for another good cause, which raised more than $58,000 at the Care to Ride event for Oil Heat Cares.

4. The ladies who attended this year's conference were treated to a day of sightseeing in Providence and then a cooking show presented by local celebrity, Chef Terranova, and Taco. The event featured Rhode Island cuisine and raised money for Dorcas Place, an organization that gives educational opportunities to low-income Rhode Islanders.
