U.S. Winter Heating Costs To Rise

MarketWatch.com reported that U.S.
households will be paying more for heating this winter, with total
expenditures for natural gas and heating oil expected to increase over last
year, according to an Energy Department forecast. Household expenditures for
natural gas are expected to rise 2.6 percent this winter to $744, average heating
oil expenditures for households using the fuel are expected to rise 8.4 percent
to $2,493, and propane expenditures are seen increasing 7 percent on average.
