MA Engineer Says Energy Rebate Formula Faulty

A Massachusetts engineer for a local solar heating project is petitioning the state to apply guidelines that would make it easier to receive rebates from utility companies for alternative energy projects.

Curt M. Freedman (C.M.F. Engineering Inc., Longmeadow, MA) contends that the cost of energy conservation projects that are to be reviewed for rebates by utility companies should be assessed after subtracting the tax credit awarded by the state.
