A.O. Smith introduces the new Vertex 100 water heater with 96% thermal efficiency. It employs a top-fired burner and blower combination for more effective combustion. With standard electrical/plumbing requirements and a footprint similar to conventional models, Vertex 100 uses the same electrical, water and gas connections as a standard power-direct-vent model, and uses inexpensive PVC pipe for venting.
