Bradford White introduces a new residential gas water heater with a .70 Energy Factor, which meets the DOE’s energy conservation standards set to go into effect April 16, 2015. The new water heater is atmospherically vented and utilizes a highly efficient blower to pull air through a tightly restricted baffle system. The baffle system, 2" of non-CFC insulation and the electronic ignition system help the water heater achieve its high EF rating. Available in both 40- and 50-gal. models with inputs of 38,000 Btu/hr., they come equipped with Bradford White’s Defender flammable vapor ignition-resistant system.
