Lochinvar’s SHIELD commercial water heater has inputs up to 500,000 Btu/hr, a 96 percent thermal efficiency and storage up to 125 gallons. A stainless-steel heat transfer system outside the tank prevents lime scale buildup, thus ensuring efficiency and low operating costs throughout the life cycle. A fully modulating burner with a 5:1 turndown allows the unit to fire as low as 20 percent of maximum input when demand is lowest.
