BrassCraft Volunteers Help Build Habitat For Humanity Home

October 7, 2009

In mid-September, 20 BrassCraft employees volunteered to help build a Habitat for Humanity home in Pontiac, Mich. The company calls its volunteer program “BC Build” and encourages employees to become involved in community activities, especially those that relate to building.

Habitat for Humanity has built more than 100 homes in Oakland County, using more than 20,000 volunteers like the BrassCraft team, according to Brad Irwin (center of photo, arms folded), director of partnerships for Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County. To his left is David Tisch, product designer for BrassCraft and coordinator of the BrassCraft Build program. Tisch’s team spent the day doing finish work on the home’s interior and installing exterior siding.
