PHCC Installs New Officers, Announces Award Winners

Frank Maddalon was elected PHCC vice president, and other awards and recognitions were announced, at the organization's annual business meeting in Atlanta.

At this year’s Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors―National Association Annual Business Meeting and Network ’08 conference in Atlanta, Frank Maddalon (F.R. Maddalon Plumbing & Heating, Hamilton, N.J.) was elected vice president of the PHCC. He and other new officers and zone directors were installed at the closing reception Oct. 3:
  • President Joe Schmitt (Joe Schmitt & Sons Plumbing & Heating, Englewood, Ohio)
  • President-elect Skip Pfeffer (Canton Plumbing & Heating Co., Canton, Mass.)
  • Secretary Ron Newman (Lakes Plumbing & Heating & Cooling Inc., Spirit Lake, Iowa)
  • AEC President Nancy Jones, Texas PHCC executive director
Zone directors for the PHCC were elected as well:
    Zone 1: Hunter Botto (Botto Brothers Plumbing & Heating, Hicksville, N.Y.)
    Zone 2: Kirk A. Vail (Vail Plumbing Inc., Gulfport, Fla.)
    Zone 3: Brad Isley (L.E. Isley & Sons Inc., Westfield, Ind.)
    Zone 4: Steven A. Rivers (Rivers Plumbing, Heating & Air, Pleasanton, Calif.)
At the 2008 Awards Luncheon sponsored by InSinkErator, the following major award winners were announced:
    First Place, Delta/PHCC Plumbing Contractor of the Year – William J. Cocos (William G. Cocos Inc., St. Louis, Mo.)
    Runner-up – Kyle Evans (F. Wackenhut Co., Jamison, Pa.)

    Delta/PHCC Apprentice of the Year – Kyle Holcomb (Pasadena Plumbing Inc., St. Petersburg, Fla.)

    First Place, Trane/PHCC HVAC Contractor of the Year – James Eichman (Empire Plumbing, Heating, A/C & Electrical, Huntington Beach, Calif.)
    Runner-up – Lorrie Gore (Gundlach Plumbing & Heating Co., Richmond, Va.)

    AEC Spectrum – the late Jory Isakson (Minnesota PHCC executive director)

    Legislative Award – Jo Wagner (CTO Inc., Harlingen, Texas)
