A.O. Smith Reports Earnings Of $17.6 Million

Electric motor and water heater manufacturer A.O. Smith Corp. reported second quarter earnings of $17.6 million or $0.74 per share compared with second quarter 1999 earnings of $14.2 million. Revenues also increased to $331.2 million compared to 1999 revenues of $235.4 million.
