May was National Building Safety Month, sponsored by the International Code Council. Focused on the general public, each week had a theme: fire safety, weather and storm safety, building safety and energy efficiency.
Earlier this month, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, with the backing of CPWR – The Center for Construction Research and Training, held itsannual National Safety Stand-Down to raise awareness of fall hazards in construction, their severity for construction trade workers and how to prevent them.
