Fujitsu General America introduces its new single-zone line of compact cassettes and slim-duct systems. These flexible indoor units were available last year, but only when paired with a multizone outdoor condensing system. When coupled with a single-zone heat pump or air-conditioning unit, the 9,000, 12,000 and 18,000 Btu air handlers now fit a wider range of installations. Heating capacity at low outdoor temperatures is achieved through the use of a large heat exchanger and a high-capacity compressor. The systems optimally operate with ambient temperatures as low as -5° F.
