March 7, 2008 - DEWALT Recalls Cordless Drills Due To Fire Hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with DEWALT
Industrial Tool Co., announced a voluntary recall of DEWALT
cordless drills. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately.
The trigger switch of the cordless
drill can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers. DEWALT has received 11
reports of trigger switches overheating. No injuries or property damage have been
reported.
