currently is owned by three private equity groups, Bain Capital; The
Carlyle Group; and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice Inc., which purchased
the business from Home Depot on Aug. 23 for $8.5 billion.
Pro-Build
operates more than 520 locations nationwide with an established presence in
Georgia and Florida. Last year, the company bought Hope Lumber, a chain of 49
lumberyards. Earlier this year, Pro-Build bought Dunn Lumber, a seven-unit pro
dealer headquartered in Daytona Beach, Fla.
