PMI has announced a series of steps to gain support for its vision: a single, large, annual building products trade show in North America by the year 2005. Members of the Institute's Trade Show Consolidation Issue Committee developed a plan last fall to build a coalition of support among like-minded associations and groups for the need of fewer, larger trade shows. A comprehensive, detailed presentation has been developed for use by PMI's Executive Director Barbara Higgens, to target key groups, organizations and manufacturers of those industries where there is an identified overlap in trade shows each year.
