Heatway has now paid out more than $6.3 million in claims due to its failed Entran II tubing, according to its executive vice president. This latest news comes on the heals of a homeowner-slanted article on the front page of the Wall Street Journal’s “Weekend Journal” that levels the radiant heating industry, Heatway and Goodyear.
Dan Chiles, executive vice president of Heatway, told PM that his company is continuing to pay out insurance claims for failed Entran II jobs. The tubing was supplied by Heatway, but manufactured by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. — and continues to cause millions of dollars in damage to homes with radiant heating systems.
