I predict the Y2K disaster will never materialize. It’s a non-issue. Smart, ambitious, techno-gurus will make billions solving the 01/01/00 problem just in time. Dec. 31, 1999 will meld seamlessly into Jan. 1, 2000. The sun doesn’t need a computer to rise. The year 2000 isn’t the problem.
Thirty years ago, computers were a rarity. We used columnar pads for accounting. We counted with fingers and toes. We did fine. Computers are delightful, but they are not essential to our survival.
