Despite a storm that dropped 10 in. of snow on New York City and created a state of emergency in parts of New York, the severe weather didn’t stop thousands of determined attendees and exhibitors from filling the aisles and booths at the 2014 AHR Expo held at the Javits Convention Center, Jan. 21-23.
Nearly 100 plumbing contractors and leaders from across the country met in Kohler, Wis., June 26-28, to focus on a variety of challenging issues facing the plumbing industry. The three-day conference, led by Union-Affiliated Contractors Chairman Robert Melko (who also serves as the Chicago Plumbing Council chairman, PAMCANI vice president and Local 130 Joint Apprenticeship Committee co-chairman), began with the annual Plumbing Industry Council Meeting.
Nexstar's 2013 Super Meeting, Oct. 3-5 in Indianapolis, opened with a keynote address by football great Emmitt Smith. He explained that much of the advice his coaches and mentors gave him over the years transferred into the business realm after he retired from football.
