Exhibitors at the 2014 Greenbuild attributed the frequently light traffic on the show floor Oct. 22-23 to a number of factors: educational workshops being conducted during trade show hours; declining attendance at trade shows in general; and the location of the event in New Orleans.
Ward Manufacturing has come a long way from the company Joseph P. Ward founded in 1924 in Blossburg, Pa., with 30 employees who produced a small line of cast-iron steam and drainage fittings, plugs and bushings.
ASPE is offering an online plumbing design course, which it developed with UCLA. It is in the process of creating an associate degree program for plumbing design with the City College of San Francisco. It exhibited for the first time at the USA Science and Engineering Festival, which was held April 26-27 in Washington and attended by elementary and high school students from across the country.
The organization’s annual conference is slated for March 5-9 in San Diego. MCAA 2017 will provide mechanical contractors with numerous educational opportunities aimed at improving their businesses. Check out more articles in the February Issue.
