Danfoss says this organizational
change puts strategic focus on growth in North America.

Danfoss
announced
that
John Galyen has assumed the position of president of
Danfoss North America, effective May 4, 2011.
The announcement comes as
Danfoss reshapes the role of its North American president to ensure
cross-divisional alignment that will help the company better serve its
customers and optimize operations, while putting even greater strategic focus
on growth in North America.
“North
America is our largest market with significant growth potential,” Galyen
said in a statement. “Our largest HVAC OEM customers are based here, so it is
important that we chart a course that will help us meet the challenges of this
unique market and take full advantage of the opportunities it presents.”
Galyen will chair a new
North American Regional Management Team that comprises representatives from
each division of Danfoss North America.
In his new role, he will
report to a Board consisting of the company’s COO and division presidents. The
Board will be chaired by Leif Flojgaard, president, Danfoss Commercial
Compressors.
Robert Wilkins, as vice
president, public affairs, will strengthen the company’s focus on industry and
public affairs - a critical role that ensures Danfoss’ leadership in the policy
community and industry groups in North America.
Danfoss manufactures high
efficiency electronic and mechanical components and controls for
air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration and motion systems. The company
operates in more than 100 countries.
