Pro hand-tool
manufacturer Wright Tool recently launched a new online training program,
Wright Tool University, for employees, distributors, sales representatives and
tool users.
Set up like any university, at Wright Tool
University students must register, enroll in classes, and obtain a certain
score to pass the classes. Users can search for a class they would like to take
or are required to take in the course catalog.
“Wright Tool
University was built to put a consistent message about our company and our
tools in the minds of our tool users, our distributors, our representatives,
and our employees,” said
Ty Smith, director of business
development at Wright Tool, in the training announcement. “Knowledge is power,
and this is one of the ways we are perfecting our performance and our
customers’ performance.”
The
University can be accessed through a link on Wright Tool’s Web site (
www.wrighttool.com). After registering,
attendees of Wright Tool University are offered different courses they designed
specifically for their needs. Courses include:
Corporate
Impact
Sockets
Ratchets, Hand Sockets and
Attachments
Wrenches
New courses and information will be
added to the university annually.
The
material covers how the tool is used, how to tell when a tool is worn and should
no longer be used, safety information for the specific tool, the manufacturing
process, and background information on Wright Tool Co. At the end of each
module, the student must pass a quiz to successfully complete the course.
