Combustion Analysis, Fuel Efficiency Training Available

September 8, 2008
Many Goodman and Amana distributors are offering combustion analysis and fuel efficiency training.

The push to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions is stronger than ever. To that end, many Goodman and Amana distributors are offering combustion analysis and fuel efficiency training.

The training program deals with: carbon dioxide formation and release; carbon monoxide generation; thermal heat transfer and flame temperature; steps and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce emissions; draft and venting of fuel-fired appliances; heat transfer; and what effects combustion has on efficiency.

Upon completion of the class, attendees will be offered an examination.  The test is designed to validate that the technician has the core knowledge to perform a combustion analysis and maximize combustion equipment efficiency. Successful test-takers will receive a Goodman Amana wall certificate and an embroidered shoulder patch.
