Lasco Fittings Sold To Dutch Manufacturer

Aalberts Industries has reached agreement with parent company Tomkins Industries to acquire 100 percent of the shares of Lasco Fittings.

Aalberts Industries has reached agreement with parent company Tomkins Industries to acquire 100 percent of the shares of Lasco Fittings. No purchase price was announced.

Lasco, with about $104 million in sales, produces plastic fittings for plumbing and a variety of other markets out of a single plant in Brownsville, Tenn. Aalberts also owns U.S. copper fittings producer Elkhart Products Corp., which it bought in 2004. The two companies will operate as autonomous units.

Lasco Fittings’ management team, headed by President Jack McDonald, is expected to stay in place.
